Dr Werner Slabbert SURGICAL DENTIST, IMPLANTOLOGIST & SEDATIONIST
Dr Werner Slabbert co-founded Sussex Implant Centre and Advanced dentistry in 2017 with his father Dr Dirk Slabbert. Dr Werner has a passion for Advanced dentistry and in particular Implantology, Oral Surgery and Sedation. He has extensive experience in difficult extractions and implants and regularly accepts referrals from other dentists . He has completed Oral surgery training to Specialist level.
Dr Werner believes experience should be backed up with sound knowledge and has always strived for the highest recognition for his skills. After completing a pre-med degree in Belgium he qualified as a Dental surgeon from the University of Stellenbosch-Western Cape South Africa in 2005. In 2007 he completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Dental Implantology Cum Laude and moved to Australia. He worked in Outback Australia for 3 years and then moved to Sydney to join a private practice. In 2012 he gained full registration with the UK General Dental Council through examination. Since then, he has achieved the prestigious Membership of The Joint Dental faculties from the Royal College Surgeons England. Werner completed Master of Clinical Dentistry in Oral Surgery from Bart’s at the London Medical and Dental School with Merit in 2014. He also completed a Post graduate diploma in Conscious Sedation at King’s College London.
He has presented at International conferences and published in peer review journals and been featured in dental magazines. His log shows over 20 000 extractions and over 2000 implants placed.
When not busy with dentistry, Werner enjoys piloting private aeroplanes and spending time with his wife and three children.

Dr Susan Brink GENERAL DENTISTRY, ADULT ORTHODONTICS (INVISALIGN) & COSMETIC DENTISTRY
Dr Susan joined Sussex Implant Centre and Advanced Dentistry in 2017 as a general dentist with a specialist interest in Adult Orthodontics and Cosmetic Dentistry. She is an active member of the Invisalign Study Group in London.
She qualified as a Dental Surgeon in 1994 from the University of Stellenbosch South Africa, where she received Medals for the best student in Orthodontics, Endodontics and Community dentistry.
She has a passion for working with elderly people and children. She was also one of the founders of the "Tooth Fairy Project" at the Red Cross hospital for children in Cape Town.
She has a wealth of knowledge and experience in dentistry and a passion for her local community.
She is also our home visiting dentist.

Nikoletta Kafantari ROOT CANAL SPECIALIST
Nikoletta Kafantari was selected in the MSc programme of Endodontics at the Eastman Dental Institute University London in 2010, and whilst being the youngest candidate she completed it with distinction.
Nikoletta has gained clinical experience in the past in Private practices both in Greece and in UK and has participated in research programmes regarding new advances in Endodontics in Universities in both countries. Her specific interest has been the identification of the factors associated with weakening of teeth as a result of endodontic treatment.
Presently, Nikoletta is based in Shoreham-by-sea and is working as an Endodontist in private practices across Sussex.
Nikoletta has gained the required experience to analyse endodontic problems, discuss available options and select the appropriate treatment for each patient. She can systematically plan the management of an endodontic problem and has the clinical and surgical skills to execute it with a high degree of competence.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and outdoor sports.
